For founders with exceptional ideas.
We've reviewed over 600 companies to fund 10. Not because we're difficult, because alignment matters. When we say yes, we mean it. And we back that yes with our full team.
Three paths.One standard.
The 5-stepprocess.
From application to operational in 60–90 days. We move fast because we've done this before. You'll always know where you stand.
Initial Application
Complete our online application. Share your idea, your market thesis, and your team. No deck required, we want to understand your thinking, not your formatting.
Qualification Call
A 30-minute conversation with our team. We're evaluating fit, not pitching. You'll also interview us, make sure we're the right partner for you.
Deep Dive Review
We spend 2–3 weeks evaluating your market, your team, and your timing. We may request financials, customer interviews, or technical documentation.
Term Sheet
If we're aligned, you'll receive a term sheet within 30 days of application. Clear economics. Transparent structure. No surprises.
Onboarding
We move fast. Within 60–90 days of term sheet, you're operational, capital deployed, infrastructure active, and your SteelBridge team in place.
Our investmentcriteria.
Solving a structural problem in financial services with clear, large-scale demand.
Founding teams with prior fintech or financial services experience. We back people who understand the problem they're solving.
A path to durable competitive advantage: network effects, regulatory moat, proprietary data, or technology differentiation.
No. We fund at concept stage. What we need is a clear market thesis, a capable founding team, and a problem worth solving.
It varies by model and stage. We're transparent in term negotiations. Our goal is alignment, not extraction.
Yes. While our office is in Pittsburgh, we work with founders remotely and can facilitate relocation for the Ideation Model if needed.
30 days from initial application to term sheet if criteria are met. We don't string along applicants.
